Investment in the very latest technology is set to keep a Midlands acrylics company ahead of its competitors.
Mid West Acrylics, a division of the Mid West Group, has bought a CNC router 6000 series, to help deliver a speedier and more cost effective service to its customers.
The company is based in Shewsbury and already has clients in a wide range of industries including greetings card suppliers such as Celebrations and Card Warehouse, as well as Aga, and national supermarkets.
Mark Newman, who launched the Mid West Group just over three years ago, said the new investment had made a world of difference to the services the company could offer.
“As a business supplying vital components for front-end displays in shop windows and retail interiors all over the world, we already had a reputation for high quality service and for sourcing products internationally at extremely competitive prices.”
“Now, with our investment in the new CNC router, we can offer better prices to our customers, with superior delivery options, and we can be much more flexible about creating bespoke products to suit each client’s individual needs.”
Mid West Acrylics was formed after the Mid West Group bought out Sellwell Displays – a company of acrylics fabricators from Oswestry. The move created ten new jobs, and the Group now employees around 30 people altogether.
“By investing in the very latest technology, and helping our staff to develop their skills even further as part of an ongoing strategy, we believe we can complete with anyone in the industry,” said Mark.
“Mid West Acrylics is looking forward to an extremely positive future, and the investment we have made is already bringing real dividends.”
